At age 17 Anabel Montesinos became the youngest person to win the Francisco Tárrega International Guitar Competion, the oldest and most prestigious classical guitar competition in the world.

Born in Hospitalet de l’Infant, a village in the province of Tarragona, Anabel began her musical education at the age of 5 at the local music school.

She went on to study at the Conservatory of Tarragona and later at the Conservatory of Alicante. At the age of 19 she moved to Austria, where she studied at Mozarteum University in Salzburg and at the Anton Bruckner Privatuniversität in Linz, where she graduated with a Magister degree.

Winner of more than 10 international first prizes, such as the Michele Pittaluga Cittá di Alessandria Competition in Italy, Julián Arcas in Spain, Raiffeisenwettbewerb in Salzburg, among others, Anabel Montesinos has performed
