Diane Sawyer is an American Emmy Award-winning Anchor, Reporter, TV Host, Correspondent, and Weathercaster working for ABC News as a special contributor.

She joined the network in September 2014.

Diane Sawyer Education

Sawyer is an alumnus of Seneca High School in the Buechel area of Louisville. During her stint there, she worked for “The Arrow,” the school yearbook as editor-in-chief, and was part of multiple artistic activities.

During her senior year there, in the year 1963, the Commonwealth of Kentucky honored her the 1st place in the annual National America’s Junior Miss scholarship pageant as a representative. For 2 years (1963 – 1965), she was America’s Junior Miss, where she toured the nation to promote the Coca-Cola Pavilion at the “1964–1965 New York World’s Fair.” Sawyer is also a proud 1967 graduate of Wellesley College.
